This solves a problem I had where I was doing the joins more expensively within the view by using empty record objects returned from a genericRead with no criteria set. Then I could loop through the simple query and do an init(id=query.id).load() on associated tables. Fairly elegenatly coded, but more expensive in terms of additional database calls. Nowhere did I find this gatewayMethod parameter until I stumbled upon it here. So, many thanks.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7367794905551891931/8125825306721065623/comments/default/8014071485423935466'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7367794905551891931/8125825306721065623/comments/default/8014071485423935466'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.tech-cats.com/2008/01/using-generic-lists-and-sql-server.html?showComment=1208390460000#c8014071485423935466' title=''/><author><name>Larkin</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15113485808098146933</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.tech-cats.com/2008/01/using-generic-lists-and-sql-server.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7367794905551891931.post-8125825306721065623' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7367794905551891931/posts/default/8125825306721065623' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-2122974053'/></entry></feed>
